The U.S. Department of Energy recently selected Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley as a 2017 Housing Innovation Award winner for its energy-efficient home owned by Keondra Allred. This is the second national homebuilder award that Habitat's Northstone Subdivision has received.
Last month, sixteen college freshmen from Villanova University spent their spring break week working on Habitat Catawba Valley’s new home construction and Habitat Repairs! While they were here, they also participated in fun activities and had the opportunity to get to know our community better.
Habitat Repairs! is working. Throughout Catawba County the Habitat Repairs! staff and volunteers are installing handicap ramps, replacing leaky roofs, and restoring heat and air conditioning to our neighbors’ homes. Your gift to this mission is restoring a quality of life to people who have long forgotten what it’s like to be safe, warm and dry.
